Huiyu Lin, PhD

My academic journey across Taiwan, Alaska, and Seattle over the last two decades has cultivated in me a deep commitment to community-based and student-centered education. I approach teaching as a relational and transformative practice that honors the students’ lived experiences, cultural identities, and linguistic strengths. I strive to co-create learning environments with my students that center their communities and cultural values, support their diverse ways of knowing and learning, as well as uphold values of reciprocity, responsibility, and relational accountability.
